It can be setup via a PC, (versus setup on the remote itself) which offers unlimited possibilities.  It is rugged (for those of you with three-year olds,) so it will last much longer than the nicer and more delicate, touch screen remotes, but will deliver nearly the same, "easy-to-use approach."
